Building Information Modelling (BIM) Standards and Implementation has become more complicated since more BIM processes are used on many different projects, including being utilised by a variety of stakeholders and disciplines in the process.
Key Highlights: Understanding BIM
· BIM is a working process and not a software, physical item, or object alone. This process applies to the entire lifecycle of a construction project and built asset.
· BIM is all about information, i.e., the means of collating and managing information on a construction project from inception right through to handover and the maintenance phase.
· BIM is Building an Information Model, also known as a virtual asset, which consists of graphical models, asset data, and documentation.
